To lose body fat/weight we need to be at a calorie deficit which sometimes means reducing your food intake slightly so it’s important to keep yourself feeling satisfied and full when you consume calories.

πŸ₯Here we have 110g chicken breast which is around 115 calories and 24g protein.

πŸ’ͺ🏻 We also have a 30g scoop of whey protein which is around 115 calories and 25g of protein.

βœ…For me I’d rather eat a chicken breast for the exact same calories as I know it’s going to satisfy me more than just a shake and is more likely going to keep me fuller for longer.

βœ…Protein shakes should be used to supplement your diet and shouldn’t replace real food.

βœ…A good time to use a shake would be post workout as it’s easily absorbed into the body as it’s already broken down.
